YSRCP announces Kurnool candidate

YSRCP regional coordinator Mekapati Gautham Reddy has announced that the leadership has finalized the candidate of M.A.Hafeez Khan for the Kurnool Assembly constituency in the next general elections. This was in tune with party president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assurance to field a member from the minority community, he said at the constituency level meeting.

Chief Minister for Chittoor

Chittoor :: Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to arrive here on January 13 to take part in various government programmes. According to information, Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the programmes organized by the Municipal Corporation, besides attending an event at the Apollo Hospitals.

Two attempt suicide at gram sabhas

Kurnool/Rajamahendravaram:: Officials at the Janmabhoomi gram sabhas were taken aback when two youth attempted suicide incidents at Mydukur in Kadapa district and Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari on Thursday. Police foiled their attempts. Shaik Mastan Vali, a resident of Mydukur was allotted a house site in 2008. Alleging that his site was encroached by another person, he made representations in vain to the revenue and police officials. Anguished at their apathy, he attempted to commit suicide by dousing himself in kerosene. At a programme addressed by MLA Butchaiah Chowdary, M.Satish of Hukumpeta poured petrol on himself. He was frustrated as he could not get loan from BC Corporation.

Paracyclist interacts with students

Srikakulam:: One of India’s top paracyclists Jagwinder Singh on Thursday said positive attitude and hard work would make miracles in everybody’s life and those should be emulated by students at a young age. He interacted with the engineering students of GMRIT, Rajam in the district.

School holidays from January 12

Amaravati:: The State government announced holidays to all schools in the State from Friday to January 20. The schools will reopen on January 22 as January 21 happens to be Sunday.

ANU Distance Education results announced

ANU:: Acharya Nagarjuna University School of Distance Education that conducted its examinations in last December in M.Sc Psychology, M.A., Psychology were released today.
