He was received with temple honours on his arrival at the main entrance by the priests and authorities and led into the sanctum sanctorum.
Visakhapatnam:: Selected jury member for Bengaluru film festival:: Founder secretary of Vizag Film Society N.Prakasa Rao has been selected as one of the jury members for the ensuring Bengaluru International Film Festival. The 10th edition of the festival organized by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy is scheduled to commence on February 22. The festival concludes on March 1.
Mamidikuduru:: Bulli Ramaiah cremated:: Former Union Minister and TDP leader Bolla Bulli Ramaiah was cremated with full State honours on the banks of the Vainateya at his native village Pedapartnam of Mamidikuduru mandal today. He died on Wednesday at Tanuku after brief illness. His son Ramesh performed the last rites. Ministers Kamineni Srinivas, and K.S.Jawahar, Deputy Chairman of the AP Legislative Council Reddy Subramanyam, MLAs and MPs and others paid the last respects.
Ongole:: Richest Chief Minister owes an explanation:: Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu who has been found to be the richest Chief Minister in the country by ADR owed an expiation to the people on his sources of income, said YSRCP State general secretary Balineni Srinivasa Reddy said today. He dared Naidu to pull out his Ministers from the Union Cabinet and ask MPs to resign on the SCS issue taking a cue from the YSRCP.

Chinarajappa today asked the members of the community not to worry over the reports in a section of media that the Department of Personnel and Training, Union Home Ministry had issued a letter seeking a halt to the relevant Bill. Speaking to media, he said there is no need to doubt on the implementation of the assurances given by the TDP. The DoPT is not the ultimate authority, he said.
Guntur:: Surgery done with mobile torch at GGH:: The Government General Hospital, Guntur again found itself in the eye of storm after a regional newspaper published a picture of a surgery being done under the torch light of a mobile phone. Guntur East MLA Sk.Mustafa staged a protest in front of the hospital. Minister of Health Kamineni Srinivas ordered an inquiry. Superintendent D.S.Raju Naidu in a release said the surgery took place on G.Venkaiaamma on February 10. During the procedure, the electric supply snapped at 12.45pm. Even after the generator was switched on, one of the operation lights could not be switched on as the MCB tripped. Five minutes, surgery was continued using the light from the mobile phone.
