  • Srikakulam:: APNGOs threaten strike:: APNGO’s Association State president P.Ashok Babu and State associate president Chowdary Purushottam Naidu today said the association would take up an agitation against the Centre if it failed to implement its promises it made to the State in the AP Reorganization Act, 2014. The Association felicitated Transport Minister K.Atchannaidu and whip Kuna Ravikumar for ensuring 20% DA to the employees residing in Srikakulam. They said that the association would continue to fight against the CPS scheme.
  • Chittoor:: Mudragada warns government of intensifying agitation after March 31 if not met:: Kapu leader and former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham today demanded the State government to initiate steps to implement reservations for the community without any delay. Addressing a meeting at Palamaner, he said Kapus could succeed in making the government pass the Bill which had obtained the Governor’s acceptance too. He said that the government should not give a chance to fight again for its implementation. After March 31, the agitation would be intensified for its implementation, he said.
  • Machilipatnam:: Government trying to cash in on the situation:: BJP State president K.Haribabu said today that the bandh observed on January 8 against the Union Budget was the Congress Party’s attempt to gain political mileage. Addressing pressmen, he said that the credit for speedy launch of the projects goes to the BJP which succeeded in annexing the seven mandals to the State. On Visakhapatnam Railway zone , he said talks had begun in that direction at the highest level.
  • Tirumala:: Special darshan on February 13 and 20 for divyangulu and aged devotees:: TTD will be issuing special tokens on February 13 and 20 for aged persons (over 65 years of age) and for divyangulu to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. On those days, 1000 tokens will be issued at 10am, 2,000 tokens upto 2pm and 1,000 tokens up to 3pm. Like wise, tokens will be issued for the couples having children below 5 years on February 14 and 21 from 9am to 1.30pm.

Speaking on the occasion, he sid that those who shifted the loyalities from one party to another should tender resignations and changing of parties is not good for our democratic principles.
