ITDA engineer in ACB net

Srikakulam:: ACB officials today conducted raids on the properties of Sithampeta ITDA deputy executive engineer Krishna Mohan and unearthed assets valued at Rs.2 crore that were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The officials led by DSP Rajendra, raided the houses of his family members also. The raids were conducted in Guntur and other places as well. The accused allegedly bought more than 10 house sites in various places. The ACB officials would continue their searches on Saturday also.

Tractor, tippers seized in raid

Kurnool:: Revenue and Police officials conducted raids and detected illicit sand mining at Ankireddy Cheruvu in Gajulapalle of Mahanandi mandal on Friday. They seized 23 tractors, tippers and proclaims. It was found that the accused had secured permission from the Groundwater Department to dig up to four feet, but were plundering sand at will. District Collector S.Satyanarayna would be apprised of the violation and action taken on his instructions, tahsildar Subbarayudu said.

APPSC puts candidates’ list on website

Vijayawada:: The APPSC has declared the list of candidates selected for the recruitment to the post of technical assistant in the AP Mining Sub-Service. In a statement, APPSC secretary YVST Sai said the list was available on the commission’s website www.psc.ap.gov.in.

Ex gratia for accident victims

Guntur:: The government today announced an ex gratia of Rs.5 lakh each to the families of the four students who were killed in a road accident at Repadu village of Phirangipuram mandal on the Guntur-Narasaraopet Road on Thursday. District Collector Kona Sasidhar said the decision to extend the ex gratia was taken by the Chief Minister. The families of those who were injured critically would get Rs.2 lakh and those who sustained injuries would be given Rs.50,000.
