Vijayawada:: A mega university from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be established in Amaravati in near future. Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board singed a letter of Intent in this regard. PASSHE Vice Chancellor Peter Garland and delegation met the Chief Minister today. Chandrababu explained to the delegation the milestones achieved in the fields of education, software, skill development and entrepreneurship.
Vijayawada:: Responding to a claim of ownership of the land at Chinakakani in Guntur district which Jana Sena Party took on lease for its State party office, by a section of the minorities, its president Pawan Kalyan said he was prepared to cancel the lease agreement if the claimants established their ownership and that he would fight in case there is a political conspiracy behind it. He suggested them to show their documents to JSP lawyers who would visit the site shortly and if their case turns out to be genuine, the JSP would give up the land.
Vijayawada:: The SCR has changed the number of 07425 Kacheguda-Kakinada Port special fare train as 82706 and it will be run as Suvidha special train on January 12, 2018 according to a press released by Chief Public Relations officer M.Uma Shankar Kumar.
Hyderabad:: Vakapalli tribal women have approached the High Court seeking appointment of special public prosecutor in the criminal case filed against the Grey Hounds police. It may be recalled that a decade back the tribal women of Vakapalli tribal hamlet of Visakhapatnam complained that the Grey Hounds special party personnel have outraged the modesty of women of their village. A criminal case has been registered against the accused and was challenged by the police and the Supreme Court refused to interfere. Now the trial has to commence in special court in Visakhapatnam. The case is likely to be taken up for admission on Friday.

Amaravati:: Minister for Medical and Health Kamineni Srinivas said today that the students of Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences who lost their seats have to write NEET for fresh admissions into medical colleges. He held discussions with the students and the management. He said that the issue would be taken to Parliament in its winter session.
