Telangana Intermediate results announced::Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari today released the first and second year Intermediate results. In the first year examinations, out of 4,56, 675 students have taken up the examinations and 2,43,503 candidates have cleared the examinations with 59 per cent girls and 48 per cent boys. In the second year, out of 4,18, 231 candidates have appeared for the examination and 2,62, 245 candidates have cleared the examination with 67.64 per cent of girls and 58 per cent of boys. The supplementary examinations will be held from May 24 to 31 said Kadiyam Srihari. The last date for payment of examination fee is set to be April 30. The results can be had by dialing BSNL land phone number 1100 or to 18004251110 on mobile. VISAKHAPATNAM: PG medical online counselling begins:: The Post Graduate Medical admission, the web based counselling began on Friday. AU Vice-Chancellor (in-charge) Prof. E.A.Narayana launched the PG Medical Counselling by presenting Web Counselling papers to the candidates. The students having ranks up to 1,500 were given web counseling papers who have to lock their choice online between April 23 and 24. On the first day of the counselling only 192 candidates have attended from out of 1 to 1500 rankers.
World Earth Day celebrated:: The World Earth Day was celebrated with the theme ‘Trees for the Earth’ by voluntary organization and the Pollution Control Board on Friday. Vizag DFO B.Dhananjayarao said the world is concerned over climate change and the only way to tackle it and key to our existence is conserving our forest area. B.Sc Chemistry re-examination on May 3:: Andhra University Registrar V.Uma Maheswara Rao said that the re-examination of chemistry paper will be held across all affiliated colleges of the university on May 3. It may be recalled that the B.Sc. II Chemistry question paper was leaked at Rishi Degree College, Narsipatnam. It was circulated to the staff and students of four degree colleges in and around the town over WhatsApp. Police was suspecting the role of three persons belonging to the Rishi Degree College for leaking and circulating the paper. They have registered a case u/s 66 and 72 of the Information Technology Act and seeking the support of cyber crime police to nab all the accused. Police was ascertaining the source of the leak.
VIJAYAWADA: KLUEEE written test on April 24::Koneru Lakshmaiah University Engineering Entrance Examination – 2016 will be held on April 24 said KLUEEE convener and university pro Vice-Chancellor AVS Prasad. Written test will be conducted at 56 centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and the test will be held in other States on April 30. For those who cannot attend the written test, the KLU management will organizes online test across the country on May 13 and 14.
