  • Guntur:: Medical students to get tablets on March 2:: Guntur medical College principal Dr. Guntupalli Subba Rao said today that medical lessons fully loaded tabs will be given to MBBS students on March 2 in all government medical colleges. In a special programme to be held on March 2 at Zimkana auditorium in Guntur Medical College, the students of MBBS 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 students would get the tablets, he said. The programme will be attended by Health Minister Dr.Kamineni Srinivas, Director of Medical Education Dr.Subba Rao and MCI officials.

  • Rajamahendravaram:: Vessel catches fire injuring one person:: One person injured when an offshore supply vessel caught fire, 12 km from the Vodalarevu coast in Allavaram mandal of East Godavari district. The incident occurred when the vessel was going into the sea with four members and some food stuff. One Koppanti Sai sustained severe burns and was shifted to the Amalapuram government hospital and later shifted to Kakinada. He sustained over 80 per cent burns.
  • Vijayawada:: Over 10 lakh to take up Intermediate examinations:: As many as 10,3,285 students will appear for the Intermediate examinations to be held from March 1 to 19 in the State according to Board of Intermediate Education Commissioner B.Udaya Lakshmi. The government made foolproof arrangements for theory examinations and no cell phones and any other electronic gadgets would be allowed into the examination centre. In all, 1,445 centres were set up and instructions were issued to the Chief Superintendents to provide necessary furniture, power, drinking water and first aid facilities at all centres. The APSRTC would run buses for the convenience of students, she said. Students who have not taken hall-tickets can download the same by logging on to http://bieap.cgg.gov.in/
