TTD JEO K.S.Srinivasa Raju said that it made it mandatory to have Aadhaar card for the VIP break darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy from July 1.

Speaking to media today, he said that Aadhaar will be made mandatory in a phased manner for all other darshans. At present for Srivari Sarva Darshan, foot hills Divya darshan, Rs.300 darshan, Rs.50 Sudarshanam, Arjitha Sevas, Divyangulu, aged devotees along with stay and other facilities, the TTD is accepting nine types of identity issued by the government. He said once, Aadhaar is linked, the TTD will not accept the other identity cards for availing the facilities, he said.

It may be recalled that it is toying the idea of TTD to suspend ‘Divya Darshan’ on weekends.
