ACB officials today raided the house of an officer in the Transport Department B.Seshadri Krishna Kishore and some other parts and unearthed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused officer is currently working as Administrative Officer in the RTO office in the city. The officials raided the houses of two persons, who were said to be working for the accused officer in Nellore. The assets unearthed included two cars, one motorcycle , Rs.1.3 lakh cash, 250 grams gold, silver ornaments and property documents pertaining to over seven houses, two flats, 24 house sites and 18 acres of land. The houses and the flats were located in Nellore, Guntur, Prakasam districts. He bought house sites in Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram.
A driving training school and a plastic recycling unit were found in the name of Kishore’s father. ACB officials arrested C.S.Niyaz Ahmed, an assistant engineer in the irrigation department, in Kadapa when he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000 from Pathan Akbar of Nandalur on Thursday. The bribe amount was allegedly towards processing the measurement books and clearing a bill of Rs.4.98 lakh for works done under the Neeru-Chettu programme according to Kadapa ACB CI K. Ramachandra.
