The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials today charged Naidupeta Municipal Commissioner Avineni Prasad with amassing assets disproportionate to the known sources of income that comes to over Rs.10 crore.
ACB officials carried out simultaneous raids at six places in Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa districts. ACB Nellore DSP Parameswara Reddy along with his team began the raids at 6am. Incriminating documents were located in Tirupati in the house of Prasad. A five storeyed apartment comprising 10 flats was found to be owned by the accused jointly with his mother at the NGO Colony in Tirupati. Raids were also conducted in the office of Naidupeta and his daughter’s house in Nellore.
Prasad found to have bought two flats in an apartment complex at Thimminayudupalem and many plots at Thummalagunta, Akkaram and the NGO Colony in Tirupati limits.
