17,500 applications received for MBBS/BDS courses seats so far

As many as 17,500 applications have been so far received for admissions into MBBS/BDS courses in both government and private medical colleges.

The last date for submission of applications comes to an end on July 12. There are 1,900 seats are available in government medical colleges across the State in MBBS, 2,000 seats are available under convener quota in private medical colleges. NTR University sources expect that another 2,500 applications may likely to be received by the end of the deadline.

The A category seats admission process comes to end by July 12, the certificate verification process would be taken up from July 15 for four days and then counselling will be taken up. The entire process will be through online. Sources said that the counselling process may be completed by July 30. Candidates need not attend physically for counseling and can be done through web options.

No permission for 600 seats:: Meanwhile, no permission was received for 600 seats that include Nimra Institute of Medical Sciences (150), Apollo –Chittoor (150), Gayatri Vidya Parishat-Visakhapatnam (150), RVSIMS –Chittoor –(150). If the permission does not come before July 28 to these colleges may lose 300 seats under convenor quota, said sources
