Teacher Eligibility Test Joint Director Subba Reddy said today that as many as 1.30 lakh candidates have applied for the TET. The last date for submission for TET is December 31.
Candidates appearing for the TET are urging the government to extend the date of the examination as the time is very short to prepare the vast syllabus. Responding on this plea, the Joint Director said that there were no orders from the government and it would be conducted as per schedule.
Weightage to those who took TET in 2014:: It may be recalled that for filling up of teacher posts, TET cum Teacher recruitment Test was conducted in 2014. The validity of those who took TERT is one year. Responding over this, the Joint Director said that 20% weightage would be given to those who took the examination in 2014 for this time. Though, the validity is one year, the government took the decision not do any injustice to them, he added.
