Former TTD Board member and BJP State official spokesperson G.Bhanuprakash Reddy condemned the objections raised over the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal as Executive Officer of TTD.
He said that the appointment was in order in accordance with the provisions of the AP Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987. He said the objections are unnecessary as the requirements to be fulfilled by an Executive Officer are clearly defined in the Act. According to it, the person should be from Hindu religion and should have served as a District Collector not a post lower. He said that the State government did not violate any rules in the appointment.
Bhanuprakash Reddy said that the Executive Officer must know the Agamas but not learn them as there were custodians looking after the conduct of the same at the shrine.
In in indirect reference to Sri Sarada Peethadipati Swaroopananda Saraswati and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan, he said let us refrain from North-South India divide, remembering that we are all Indians.
It may be noted here that swamy has announced that Swamy Swaroopananda to approach High Court over the appointment of Singhal as EO, TTD
