‘SCS is a closed chapter’, says Union Minister Sujana Chowdary

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Y. Sujana Chowdary said that the issue of Special Category Status is a closed chapter.

Speaking after the TDP Parliamentary Party meet chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Sujana Chowdary said that the necessary funds due to the State will come. He said that on the special financial package will get its legality within a fortnight. He said that the TDP MPs will take up the Railway Zone at Visakhapatnam, additional funds for the construction of State capital Amaravati and Polavaram Project issues will be taken up in the Parliament.

TDP to mount pressure for legal sanctity to financial package announced:: Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party (TDPP) at its meeting on Monday resolved to mount pressure on the Central Government to give legislative baking to the financial package announced by the Finance Minister Arun Jaitely. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly instructed the party MPs to focus on the issue in the Parliament while countering the Opposition campaign that the party had compromised on the Central government’s commitments to the State.
