Minsiter for Information and Technology and Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh addressing a public meeting at S.Kota here today appealed the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in all the 175 Assembly constituencies.
Lokesh said that in the first phase 10 lakh LED bulbs would be used for street lighting in all villages of Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur, East Godavari and Vizianagaram districts in the next three months. He promised that tap connections to every household would be provided by 2019.
Earlier in the day, he laid the foundation stone for drinking water scheme costing Rs.30 crore for over 300 villages in S.Kota constituency for one lakh IHHL in 330 villages and underground drainage system being taken up with Rs.6.60 crore.
In Pendurti, Lokesh said that 13,000 km of CC roads have been laid all over the State. Addressing a meeting after inaugurating Chandranna Sadan Commercial Complex and district SHG federation building, he complimented four lakh SG members for contributing Rs.50 each and getting the building constructed. He said that Rs.10,000 relief promised to them, Rs.6,000 was paid and the remaining would be given with interest soon. The federation building was constructed at a cost of Rs.1 crore.
