The BJP leaders and cadre are making arrangements for the three day Making of Development India (MODI) festival to be held in the city from June 13.
Union Minister Nirmala Seetharaman will participate as the chief guest. The festival to be held in the Rajah Tank Park premises, is aimed at creating awareness among the public about the achievements of Narendra Modi government at the Centre in the last three years.
District unit president of the BJP Y.Malakondaiah speaking at a press conference said that they are going to highlight those schemes that did not reach the masses. The idea is to make people know the good work being done by the Central Government and a slew of subsidies being offered to the weaker sections, he said. He lambasted officials for failing to publicize the name and image of Modi even while implementing the Central schemes and instead they are projecting the image of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu sending a wrong signals that the schemes are of the State government .
