Chief Minsiter N.Chandrababu Naidu today asserted that the government has no intention to interfere with the beliefs and sentiments of any community or religion. The government has asked peopled to take part in ‘Surya Aradhana’ in view of the health benefits associated with it.
Chandrababu Naidu told the representatives of ‘Majlis Ulamaa VAL AIMMA’, who met him at the Secretariat today. Muslim clerics and community elders had earlier objected to the government’s directive on the performance of ‘Surya Aradhana’ issue. He told them that the policy was to respect and treat all religions equally. The programme was conducted with a view to reaping the benefits of sunlight and to motivate the people to improve and protect their health.
On the recent murder of a caretaker of a mosque in Rajamahendravram, Chandrababu said that the government would help the next kith and kin of the deceased. He directed the officials to increase the assistance from Rs.5 lakh to Rs.10 lakh. He responded positively to install CC cameras in the mosques across the State.
