Minister for Information and Technology, Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh said that the government is considering exemption of paying house tax to the poorest of the poor in rural areas.

Speaking at a press conference today, he said that e-Panchayats would become a reality by December once the ongoing work on fibre grid was completed. He said that the aim of the government to make the State ‘Swachh’ by 2019 and to make it a reality, the government encourage solid waste management and vermi-compost in the rural areas. All the panchayats in the district would get LED street lights by the end of the year, he said.

At Praja durbar, he asked the officials to concentrate on the completion of toilets and improve the average wage earnings of the workers engaged under the MGNREGS. TDP leaders from each of the nine constituencies submitted representations seeking supply of drinking water, CC roads, houses among other issues.
