Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas said today that a notification would be issued to recruit 666 doctors in the AP Vaidya Vidhana Parishad.
Speaking to media after a meeting with the head of the departments in Kurnool Government General Hospital, he said a circular was issued directing doctors to write the generic names of medicines in capital letters and stop prescribing branded medicines.
Srinivas said that a tertiary cancer institute would be built with Rs.120 crore in Kurnool and land was allotted for it. He directed the Superintendent of the hospital to open more counters for out-patients. He asked him to clear the transport bills of NTR Vaidya Seva patients on the day of their discharge.
He inaugurated a dialysis centre that was already functioning and said the government would pay a monthly pension of Rs.12,500 to each dialysis patient below the poverty line. He flagged off two garbage compactor vehicles of the Kurnool Municipal Corporation.
Assurance given to FIMS students: He assured steps for refund of the fee paid by students of Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences in Kadapa as the MCI has cancelled the admission of first year MBBS students admitted in 2015-16. The college that admitted the students for five batches had no MCI permission to admit MBBS students last year and the Supreme Court gave an adverse ruling, he told to media.
