Yanamala urges CBI should reinvestigate Jagan Reddy cases

Sunday, November 12, 2017

AP Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has urged the Central Bureau of Investigation to re-investigate the corruption and money laundering cases against YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy in the light of revelations in the Paradise papers.

Speaking to media, he said that the Paradise Papers speak volumes of economic offences allegedly committed by the Opposition leader. The WikiLeaks and Panama Papers had pointed the finger at Jagan a long ago. The Paradise Papers reveal fresh financial links in a CBI case against Jagan, he said.

Yanamala wanted the CBI, ED, CBDT, the Finance Intelligence Unit and the RBI take cognisance of the Paradise Papers and investigate. He said that it was proved beyond doubt that Jagan was benefitted due to the shell and offshore companies during his father YSR tenure as Chief Minister.
