The police had made tight security arrangements for the YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’ beginning today from Idupulapaya.
Director General of Police N.Sambasiva Rao said that Jagan would be provided with Z+Category. M.Ravi Prakash, West Godavari Superintendent of Police said the tour schedule, route map, night halts, public and roadside meetings and other details were not submitted to the district police so far while his Krishna SP Sarvashrestha Tripati said the police would discuss the tour schedule with local YSRCP leaders. The police are collecting the trouble mongers in various political parties and have kept a watch on their movements.
Jagan offered prayers in the CSI Church at Pulivendula, Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple at Gandi and at the Ameen Peer Dargah in Kadapa on the eve of the yatra on Sunday. He proceeded by road to Pulivendula and offered a floral chaddhar and prayers at the Dargha and returned to Pulivendula for night halt. He would pay tributes at his father YSR ghat at Idupulapaya today morning and address a public meeting at the YSR Estate entrance after hoisting the party flag setting off his padayatra. Jagan will highlight the failures of Telugu Desam government in the last three years during the seven month long padayatra. He will stress on the Special Category Status and explain the public on the defected MLAs and other leaders, corruption, crime rate, poor implementation of Loan Waiver Scheme for farmers and SHG groups apart from others.
Vijayamma appeals people to bless Jagan
Pulivendula: YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma appealed the people to bless her son who is striving hard for the welfare of the people. She was addressing the media on Sunday recalled the people’s overwhelming support to her husband and former Chief Minsiter late Rajasekhara Reddy. She said YSR prepared a blueprint for several welfare schemes implemented by him after getting into power after analyzing the problems being faced by people during his padayatra. She said that YSR government had disbursed pensions to 70 lakh beneficiaries, Chandrababu Naidu pruned it to half. Chandrababu would have shelved all the welfare schemes but for the pressure of YSRCP.
Jagan begins ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra
On the first day of ‘Praja Sankalpa Yatra’, Jagan Mohan Reddy will cover 8.9 km. Jagan along with his family members including his wife Bharati, sister Sharmila and top party senior leaders pays tributes to late YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the YSR Ghat at Idupulapaya. People from various districts arrived to Idupulapaya to extend support to Jagan’s padayatra. After paying tributes, Jagan began his yatra at 9.47am. He addressed the gathering.
The padayatra will go through Maruthinagar at will have lunch at 1pm and at 3pm will commence his padayatra to Veerannagattupalle where he will hoist party flag. From there, he will proceed to Vempalle through Kummaravalli and stay at night. He will stay in the tent . Jagan will meet will meet the party activists, leaders and people every day. He will cover 7 km in the morning and 7km in the evening.
