Tuesday, March 15, 2016

YSRCP has served a notice of no-confidence on AP Assembly Speaker Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. YSRCP MLAs today handed over the notice to the Assembly Secretary today.

It may be recalled that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday announced of the decision to move no-confidence on Speaker. MLA G.Srikanth Reddy said that the action of the Speaker in conducting the proceedings is a biased one and said that they waited for sufficient time for a change in his attitude but could not be seen.

Srikanth Reddy said that they wanted a division on the no-trust motion on Monday but was refused by the Speaker and announced ‘no-trust motion lost with voice vote’. He said that he had acted in that way only to defend the defected eight YSRCP MLAs. He questioned why the Chief Minister is accepting for a CBI probe in the allegations levelled by the party. He said that though the party had respects on the Speaker but were compelled to serve no-trust on him.
