YSRCP moves no-confidence motion against government

Thursday, March 10, 2016

YSRCP on Thursday gave a notice of no-confidence against the State Government for its alleged anti-people policies and rampant corruption.

A delegation of YSRCP MLAs led by party’s deputy leader in the Assembly submitted a notice to the Legislature Secretary Satyanarayana Rao. Initially, the party contemplated serving no-trust motion against Speaker Dr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao but however changed its plan and gave a notice against the Council of Ministers. The notice said ‘the House Experess no confidence in the Council of Ministers’. The notice was served under Rule 75 of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Legislative Assembly.

The government has lost the moral right to continue as it had gone back on all the poll promise it made during election time and fail to mount pressure on the Central Government to accord Special Category Status to the State. The no confidence motion would serve as a voice of the people in the Assembly and the House would hopefully take it up for discussion soon, they said.
