Badvel YSRCP MLA Jayaramulu joins Telugu Desam

Less than 24 hours after four YSR Congress Party MLAs joined the Telugu Desam Party, another YSRCP MLA has joined the Telugu Desam Party. Badvel (SC) MLA Thiriveedi Jayaramulu joined the Telugu Desam Party today in the presence of its national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today.

It is known that four YSRCP MLAs and MLC have joined the TDP on February 22nd. Bhuma Nagi Reddy, his daughter Bhuma Akhila Priya, C.Adinarayana Reddy (Jammlamadugu) and Jaleel Khan (Vijayawada East) and MLC Narayana Reddy earlier joined the TDP.

Jayaramulu said that he was attracted by the way the Chief Minister handled the crisis faced by the State and turned it into an opportunity. He denied of any inducements by the TDP and joined only based on his personal wish. It may be recalled that Jayaramulu, a native of Varikunta in Kasinayana mandal defeated N.D.Vijaya Jyoti of the TDP in the 2014 elections with a slender margin of 9,500 votes.

TDP not encouraging defections’, says Lokesh::

TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh said that the YSRCP leaders are joining on their own accord and the TDP is not encouraging defections. Interacting with the media, he said that they would welcome anyone who wanted to join the party and added that they have no necessity to lure them. He said that the government would construct a steel plant in Kadapa district dispigte hurdles coming in their way.

‘Is there any guarantee that TDP MLAs will not join YSRCP’, says Peddireddy

YSRCP Punganur MLA Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy questioned if there is a guarantee that more number of MLAs than those lured by the TDP would not cross over to YSRCP . Speaking to media, he said that Chandrababu preached a lot but when it came to practice , he would stoop to any level. He challenged Chandrababu to make YSRCP MLAs and MLCs who joined the TDP to resign and seek a fresh mandate if he had the courage to face the elections.
