YSRCP Paderu MLA Giddu Eswari joins TDP

In another defection, Paderu MLA belonging to YSRCP Giddu Eswari along with a few cadre today joined the TDP in presence of party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Chandrababu Naidu invited them into the party fold. With the fresh defection, the total number of MLAs who defected YSRCP to TDP has gone to 23.

It may be recalled here that the TDP has been in touch with the defected MLA for the past few days. Sources said that YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy even telephoned her and tried to convince her not to leave the party. Party leader Karanam Dharmasri personally called on her on Sunday evening held discussions with her. Eswari is reportedly dissatisfied with the party leadership. Sources close to her said that she defected the party only on the ground that the party took some decisions without taking her into confidence. TDP sources said that another two more MLAs are in queue to join the party.

Speaking to media after joining the TDP, she said that she joined the TDP only for the development of the constituency. She said that even in 2019 elections, YSRCP will definitely win in Paderu and Araku constituencies. She said that she had love and affection on Jagan Mohan Reddy for he who has given her political life. She said that she felt humiliated resulting into joining into the TDP.
