Visakha Utsav postponed – arrangements are underway for CII partnership meet

The Visakha Utsav scheduled to begin on the second day of partnership summit has been postponed and will be held from February 3 to 5.

This is the second postponement of the Utsav the first being the hectic schedule of the Chief Minister and the second due to Janmabhoomi programme. Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the event was postponed so as to keep the focus on it without diluting it’s importance. He reviewed the Partnership Summit arrangements with District Collector Pravin Kumar, Commissioner of Police T.Yoganand and other officials. Over 2,000 delegates from 50 countries and ministers from 15 countries including Sri Lanka, UAE, Ukraine and Japan were expected to participate.

Liaison officers:: As many as 300 liaison officers have been appointed to assist the delegates participating in the CII Partnership Summit beginning from January 27. The liaison officials will be on duty from January 26, 2017. It may be recalled that Ganta Srinivasa Rao launches Visakha Utsav website.
