Vidyasagar Rao cremated with the full State honors

R.Vidyasagar Rao who had his last breath on Saturday was cremated with full State Honours on Sunday at Amberpet Samsana Vatika.

Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao paid tributes to the deceased. Vidyasagar Rao is the advisor (Irrigation) to Telangana government. Police opened three rounds of fire into the air. R.V.Ramana Rao, son of late Vidyasagar Rao lit the pyre. Many Minsters, leaders from Opposition parties and fans in large number attended the funeral ceremony. Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Press Academy chairman Allam Narayana, Mission Bhagiratha vice-chairman Vemula Prasanth Reddy, CPI state secretary Chada Venkata Reddy, Balladeer Gaddar, several MLAs and a large number of people paid tributes to Vidyasagar Rao on Sunday.

Vidyasagar Rao was born on November 14, 1939 was the Chief Engineer (Retd.) of the Ministry of Water Resources’, Central Water Commissioner and also Advisor on Irrigation to Government of Telangana. He hails from Jajjireddygudem of Nalgonda district. He did his B.E. from Osmania University and master’s degree of Engineering in Water Resources Development University of Roorkee. He also did his Diploma in Water Resources System Engineer, Colorado State of USA and BL from Delhi University. He contributed more than 100 articles in leadig Telugu news papers and put out two volumes of Neellu-Nijalu. In 2014, Institute of Engineers (India) has awarded Leading Engineering Personalities of India for his contributions to the Engineering field.
