Two-year-old kid falls into a uncovered bore well – NDRF teams on the job

A two-year-old kid Chandrasekhar fell into an uncovered bore well at Ummadivaram village in Vinukonda mandal of Guntur district on Tuesday evening.

After the news reached the district administration that left no stone unturned in rushing the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response and Fire Services department and the police to rescued the by digging a parallel pit to rescue the boy. The sudden spell of rain hampered their attempts as water started entering the borewell despite the efforts of the agencies. 20 feet pit was dug close to the borewell was also getting inundated.

According to information, the boy was playing near his house located close to the borewell and slid into it that is estimated depth of 15 to 20 feet.

Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao and Vinukonda MLA G.V.Anjaneyulu told the press that at around 11.30pm that the boy was responding to calls and the chances of rescuing him were bright. District Collector K.Sasidhar and Guntur Rural SP Ch.V.Appala Naidu were personally supervising the rescue operations. Oxygen was being supplied through tubes by the staff of the Medical and Health Department.
