Flight services will be operated from Kadapa to Hyderabad from Ugadi day after a gap of 25 years.
Vayudoot had operated flights from Kadapa to Hyderabad in 1980s but Kadapa aerodrome was neglected in due course and subsequently became refueling point for helicopters of Chief Ministers and other VIPs.
Trujet headquartered in Hyderabad on Thursday announced it will operate flights from Kadapa airport to Hyderabad from April 8, 2016. Kadapa will be connected by air to Hyderabad and flights will be operated for four days a week from Friday to Monday according to Managing Director Venkayalapati Umesh of Turbo Megha Airways Pvt.Ltd., He said that Kadapa would be put back on the air map.
The Trujet flight would take off at Hyderabad at 10.05am to reach Kadapa at 11.10 on Friday. The Kadapa-Hyderabad flight via Tirupati would take off at 11.35 am to reach Hyderabad at 14.05pm. The Kadapa flight taking off at 11.35am would reach Tirupati at 12.20pm and would take off at 12.35 pm to reach Hyderabad at 14.05pm
