Time slot system introduced in Sarva Darshanam

The TTD today introduced the time slot system for the Sarva Darshanam devotees of Lord Venkateswara Swamy.

The concept shall henceforth relieve millions of devotees from spending long and gruelling waiting hours in the darshan lines. The Sarva Darshanam, also known as Dharma Darshanam, is opted by the poor and lower middle class devotees as it is free of cost. The cash rich temple experiences a mind-blowing footfall of more than 25 million devotees annually of which more then 60% prefer this darshan.

Under this system,, devotees are not only free to choose the hour of their choice but are also assured of darshan within one to two hours depending on the turnout on the day. To check the misuse, the TTD has made Aadhaar card mandatory to get the slot.

Devotee will be provided with four laddus – two at the normal price of Rs.25 each and two at the subsidised Rs.10 each. In all, the TTD has opened 114 counters at 14 vantage points atop the hill.
