The ‘time slot’ in the Sarva Darshanam of Lord Venkateswara will be introduced on a full-fledged basis form the second week of March, said the Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal.
Speaking to media, he said that the results relating to the trial run of the time slot system wass taken up during the third week of December were very impressive ad encouraging. ‘We are considering opening of a few counters at down Tirupati also to benefit those visiting the temple around the town’, he said.
Online quota released
The TTD management has released the online quota of 56,953 arjitha tickets for April 2018.
The devotees can avail these tickets by participating in the electronic dip system. The rest 45,935 tickets pertaining to other day time rituals can be availed under general booking category.
TTD serves notices to 44 non-Hindu staff:: The management has served notices on 44 non-Hindu employees working in and sought their explanations. The EO said that there was no recruitment process as such till the year 1989. In that year it was resolved to confine the recruitment of non-Hindus strictly to the teaching sector alone. The rule which was amended in 2007 categorically made it clear that people professing the Hindu religion alone should be recruit mend into the TTD. The management is exploring the feasibility of sending them over to other State government departments in their equivalent cadres and scales.
