Vijayawada

As expected, Telangana TDP Working President and MLA A.Revanth Reddy today tendered his resignation from the post as MLA and the party.

TDP National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu who was briefing the media about his nine-day foreign tour did not reveal what transpired in his brief interaction with the disgruntled MLA at the CM camp office here. He simply said that he was in talks with Revanth Reddy and he did not receive any letters from him.

Revanth Reddy reach the Chief Minister’s camp office in the morning and had a brief discussion with Chandrababu who asked him to wait till he comes back after a scheduled press conference. But he walked out before the Chandrababu finished the meeting briefing after handing over his resignation a functionary.

The decision appears to have confirmed that he was in all likelihood join the Congress as he was in touch with Congress top leaders recently and was in the news moving rounds. He stayed in the party amidst strong criticism from within the TTDP for his alleged anti-party activities and said he would explain his position to Chandrababu upon his return from abroad. What ultimately happened at the camp office in Vijayawada was expected as Chandrababu believed to have decided not to send the MLA out due to fear of precipitating a crisis in the TTDP which had of late been beset with squabbling.
