TERI to set up its unit in Amaravati

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has announced that it is ready to set up its unit in Amaravati in partnership with CRDA.

The Department of Energy, in an announcement on Tuesday said that the TERI mooted setting up of its world class unit for research and development of green buildings. The buildings were expected to save around 40 to 50 per cent of energy and water without compromising on the comfort levels.

Ajai Jain, Principal Secretary, Energy and I&I, CRDA who interacted via a video link said an exclusive cell would be set up in Amaravati for implementing the Energy and Conservation Building Code notified by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
