The Andhra Pradesh State Government has singed pacts worth Rs.4.78 lakh crore with investors form India and the Middle East, the US, China and other countries during the three day CII Partnership Summit that concluded today.
As many as 328 MoUs signed during the summit. Chandrababu Naidu said that it will create an employment to nearly 10 lakh people. Major investment proposals include Essel and ZEE Group establishing smart industrial parks, including LNG terminal involving an investment of Rs.$9 billion indirectly by encouraging various Chinese and Indian companies . It also covers an investment of $2 billion directly into setting up of a state-of-art manufacturing hub for renewal energy equipment manufacturing.
Addressing the valedictory function the Governor ESL Narasimhan, Union Minister for Fertilizers and Chemicals Ananth Kumar, Union Civil Aviation Minister P.Ashok Gajapati Raju and Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y.S.Chowdary and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that the government would hold Partnership Summit against next year here to ensure continuity and also review progress of work.
