Andhra Pradesh State Government is planning to regularize 100 sq.yards of government land encroached free of cost.
The State Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister K.E.Krishna Murty has taken a decision to this effect. Officials have sent a proposal to the Chief Minister for his consideration. It may be recalled that the government has constituted the Cabinet sub-committee on regularization of encroached government lands in rural and urban areas and it has discussed the issued and taken some decisions.
Sources said that Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu suggested at the meeting that land be regularized free of cost for APL families also in urban areas up to 100 sq.yards. He said that under BPL category, a majority of the families will be covered and the number of APL families will not be high. The suggestion was accepted by other members of the committee. The committee recommended to regularize the 100 sq. yards for full free of cost.
The government take a final decision on the proposal after the approval of the same by the Chief Minister.
