State government unveils housing scheme for Amaravati employees

The State government is set to shower another boon on government employees – housing.

It may be recalled that the government has already announced a five day a week and this time, the housing scheme is applicable to MLAs, MLCs and Judges.

The government has chalked out plans to construct G + 8 apartments to provide housing to 9,061 employees and others in 139 acres. The houses will be constructed in five categories to suit the needs of the judges and others.

In the first category, judges, MLAs, MLCs, all India Service officers will be accommodated. In the next two categories, NOGs will get housing. NGOs will fit into the fourth category is earmarked for class IV employees.

The employees can repay the loan as Equated Monthly Instalment. Chief Minsiter asked the CRDA officials that the construction should meet all the quality standards and also be affordable. The CRDA is prepared plans for constructing 12,000 quarters to accommodate the staff.

There were plans to provide four bed room hall kitchen and three bed room duplex houses to judges and senior judicial and IAS officers. All MLCs and MLAs , HoDs, Gazetted officers and non-gazetted officers and junior employees will be put in the apartments.
