State government selects three firms for Amaravati housing projects

The State government has finally selected Larsen and Tourbo and Shapoorji Pallonji and NCC for its ambitious housing project in Amaravati.

The Chief Minsiter at a review meeting today approved the revised administrative sanction of Rs.2,652 crore for the project. Earlier it was Rs.1,991 crore. The State government is proposing constructing 18 towers of luxury flats for them. A built-up area of 3,500 sq.ft. including a clubhouse and parking, will be provided to MLAs and IAS officers. Non-gazetted officers will have 22 towers (1,200 sq.ft), Type I Gazetted officers will have 7 towers (1,500 sq.ft.) Class IV officers will have 6 towers with flats of 900 sft.

Chandrababu Naidu approved the establishment of a State Level Command Centre. He also approved a proposal to construct a golf course in 70 acres for national-level events to be hosted in the Capital region.
