State government hikes salary for Social Welfare contract employees

The State government has decided to increase the salary of contract employees working in the Social Welfare Residential Educational In.

Speaking at a press conference, Minister for Social Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu said that the decision would benefit 1,112 employees. The new pay structure would come into force from October, he said.

Teachers with a PG degree would be paid Rs.24,225 per month as against the existing Rs.16,150. Teachers without PG qualification would get Rs.22,290 per month as against the existing Rs.14,860. PETs and those teaching craft, art and music would be paid Rs.17,295 per month as against RS.11,530. Qualified nurse would be paid Rs.17,295 per month and those not qualified would get Rs.15,000per month, Librarian would be paid Rs.20,490 per month as against the current pay of Rs.13,660. he said.
