State Cabinet decisions - approves cyber security policy

The State Cabinet at its meeting on Tuesday approved the A.P.Cyber Security Police – 2017 and decided to introduce course in cyber security, Internet of Things, machine learning, financial technologies in colleges from this academic year itself and reckon 2017-18 as the year e-Pragati.

  • The Cabinet resolved to pay an additional Rs.30,000 as a special grant to building workers under the Chandranna Bhima scheme.
  • It cleared the appointment of a security audit consultant for the Intelligence Department through a limited tender system.
  • Cabinet decided to allot 65 acres in survey number 314 at Kapuluppada village in Bheemunipatnam mandal to the Eastern Naval Command making requisite changes in the letters of agreement to facilitate the establishment of campuses of Amity University, Vellore Institute of Technology, Centurion University and SRM University.
  • The Cabinet approved for creation of a committee that would sort out the issues faced by the State post-bifurcation, auctioning of 350 acres of land in Keesara and 8 commercial establishments in Vijayawada belonging to AgriGold and allotment of 172.84 acres of land to Patanjali Ayurved Limited at Chinnaraopalli village of Vizianagaram district.
