Special Economic Status to State instead of SCS

  • Rs.30,926 crore will be sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh
  • Central Institution to Srikakulam provided land is allotted

BJP national secretary and AP in-charge Sidharath Nath Singh said that the Centre was sanctioning huge funds to Andhra Pradesh State Governments.

Singh said that the Centre would release Rs.30,926 crore very soon under the 14th Finance Commission grant. The State would be able to get Special Economic Status for the State. Speaking to media, he said that the Centre had sanctioned many educational institutions of repute such as AIIMS, NIIT, Petroleum University, Girijan University and others and allocated Rs.850 crore as a special assistance to the State to fill up the financial gap after post-bifurcation.

‘The 14th Finance Commission will sanction 74 per cent extra allocation when compared to the same in the previous years. The government will sanction a Central Institution to Srikakulam, if the State government allocates and for its establishment, he said.
