The Minister for Rural Housing Kaluva Srinivasulu on Sunday said that two lakh houses had been constructed in the first two years and construction of another two lakh houses was in different stages.
He said that six lakh houses would be constructed in the next couple of years. He said that the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had taken up with the Central government the need for liberally assisting the State to ensure housing for all the poor people under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana.
The Minister said that those who had gone ahead with the construction of houses with or without sanction would be provided Rs.1 lakh each after geo-tagging.
