Services in transport department goes online

All services in Road Transport Department will go online from January 2016.

With this, people need not visit Road Transport Authority office and can get all services except learning licence, driving licence, vehicle fitness through online. People can get apply through e-Seva, Mee Seva along with web page and efforts are on to clear off the applications within five working days. Officials sources say that with this, middlemen system can be totally avoided. With the latest trends in technology, the MVI and AMVI will be equipped with mobile app and they can inspect the vehicles with the application.

The Road Transport Department is making efforts to equip with scientific tracks for conducting driving tests. In the first phase, it will be available in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and two driving tracks will be established in each district. The RTA officials have sent reports to the District Collectors for allotment of lands
