Senior IAS officer S.P.Singh appointed as new Chief Secretary of Telangana government

Following the superannuation of the Chief Secretary of Telangana government Pradeep Chandra, the State government has appointed S.P.Singh as the new Chief Secretary to the government.

Singh, who is currently serving as Special Chief Secretary in Panchayati Raj department, takes over the charge of office from K Pradeep Chandra.

It may be recalled that the State government has recommended to extend the term of Pradeep Chandra by another three months but received no response from the Centre forcing it to Sekhar Pratap Singh as the new Chief Secretary. He belongs to Bihar cadre IAS officer. Meanwhile, the government has appointed A.K.Khan, ACB Director General who retired from services following superannuation as the advisor to Minority and Social Welfare department. Aravind Kumar has been appointed as the Resident Commissioner of Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi.
