S.P.Tucker is the new Chief Secretary of the State

S.P.Tucker will be new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh following the retirement of the present Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao on January 31. An official announcement will be made after a Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on January 25 and orders will be issued on January 30. Tucker is 1981 batch IAS officer and will retire on September 31, 2016.

Sri S.P.Tucker ::Satya Prakash Tucker is a Law graduate from University of Delhi. He is 1981 batch Indian Administrative Service officer. He held the post of Principal Secretary (Irrigation) from 2004 to 2010. In I&CAD he conceptualised and led the water reform agenda based on community-based self-management and the concept that water should be managed as a public trust instead of as an individually-owned private commodity. He has more than three decades experience in developmental planning and has several innovative approaches to his credit. He is Principal Secretary(Planning Department) since November 2010.

State clears Ramesh Kumar for SEC post
Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, Special Chief Secretary to Governor ESL Narasimhan was cleared by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for appointing State Election Commission. Ramesh Kumar, an IAS officer of 1982 batch will retire from service on March 31, 2016 but will apply for voluntary retirement in a day or two to make the way for appointment of SEC.
