The Union Government has decided to extend Rs.350 crore special package to Andhra Pradesh.
Each of the seven backward districts in Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra will get Rs.50 crore each. Union Minister for Planning Indrajit Singh announced of the same in Lok Sabha on Monday. He said that the Andhra Pradesh State Government has requested the Centre to extend financial help of Rs.24,350 crore as r special package especially for the development of Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra regions for the years 2014-15 to 1018-19. The Union Minister said that the Planning Commission officials held discussions with the State Government officials on the issue and Centre has decided to extend Rs.350 crore special package, he said.
