Over 90,000 applications were filed across the State. Visakhapatnam topped the list with over 45,000 applications followed by Guntur and Vijayawada in the second and third places. Chief Commissioner of Land Acquisition Anil Chandra Punetha said that necessary instructions were issued to the respective Joint Collectors about the extension.
