Ravela Susheel surrenders before police late in the night

Ravela Susheel (24), son of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu and his car driver Appa Rao have surrendered before the Banjara Hills police on Saturday night. The police had earlier served notices to them under CrPC 41(A) and asked them to surrender before the police within 48 hours.

Lawyers of Ravela Susheel are making efforts to get station bail. The Banjara Hills police have begun interrogating the accused. They were sent to Osmania Hospital for medical tests. It may be recalled that the police have slapped Section 354 of Nirbhaya Act. Initially the police booked cases under section 509, but later converted into Section 354 of Nirbhaya Act following a complaint by the woman teacher. The woman alleged the duo of indecent behavior on March 3, 2016.
