Prominent writer Kakani Chakrapani passed away

Prominent writer and translator Kakani Chakrapani (75) passed away at his residence in Padmaraonagar in Hyderabad on Monday morning.

Chakrapani is survived by wife Suvarchala, sons Rajasekharam and Srikanth. He was born at Chinakakani in Mangalagiri mandal of Guntur district. He worked as English lecturer at Andhra Saraswata Parishad at Boggulakinta in Hyderabad from 1974 and retired in April 2000. He did his post graduation in English literature and did his Ph.D.

The novels included Goranta Deepam, The Ghost, Nuvvu Nakoddu, Vegu Chukka, Edadugulu, Joshua Gari Dharma Logili,
