Padmasri presented to Montessori Koteswaramma

Montessori Educational institutions founder Vege Koteswaramma was presented with Padmasri by the District Collector at a function held today.

She is expected to take the award from the President of India but due to advanced age, she could not attend the function. The District Collector was directed to handover the award to her.

Speaking after handing over the award to Koteswaramma, District Collector Lakshmikantam said that the educational institutions Montessori got recognition, name and fame across the country. He praised her initiative in making many students to reach the heights.

Koteswaramma speaking on the occasion said that the Montessori school was established some six decades ago and now it has reached the heights of PG level. For this achievement could only be achieved only but with the coordinated efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff and Principals. Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Retired IAS officer Chakrapani, former MP Chennupati Vidya, former Mayor Jadhyala Shankar are among those present on the occasion.
