Opposition to put State Government put in a fix over call money issue

The main opposition party YSR Congress Party is planning to put the State government in a fix over the sensational Call Money scandal that has been in the news in the past few days. The YSR Congress legislative party which met today has discussed the strategy to be adopted in the Winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly which will meet in a few days.

It is known that the leaders of the YSRCP led by party president Jagan Mohan Reddy recently met the Governor ESL Narasimhan and lodged a complaint over the alleged involvement of the ruling TDP leaders which included MLAs. The Congress Party has lodged a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission on the issue which took a serious note of the call money issue. Moreover, the racket is making new turns with each day. It was reported that the Vijayawada Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang has sought leave at a time when the investigation is gaining momentum. The leave was sanctioned by the DGP and Additional DGP NV Surendra Babu was said to be given in-charge. However, within 24 hours Gautam Sawang cancelled his leave on the request of the victims of the Scandal.

In the State Cabinet meeting that was held today, the issue was discussed at length. Sources said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has given suggestions and directions to the party legislators on how to counter the allegations of the Opposition. Sources said that the Cabinet has decided to order a probe into the entire episode with a judicial official as a counter to the opposition.

Judicial probe ordered
The State Government has today ordered a judicial probe by a retired High Court judge in the entire episode. The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
